Founded in 1978 as Weld County Hospice, we began as a volunteer establishment serving 18 patients in our first year. In 1995, Hospice of Northern Colorado, as it was called, opened our hospital based in-patient unit (the In-Patient Care Center) at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. Our administrative offices moved into our current location at 2726 West 11th Street Road in Greeley in June, 1997. We expanded our services in the last year to serve Larimer County, with our Loveland staff office that opened in January of 2008. Presently, HPCNC employs 65 individuals and utilizes the resources of nearly 65 volunteers in Northern Colorado. Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado was granted an exemption for federal income tax under section 501 (C) (3) in January of 1980, and certified to accept Medicare benefits in May of 1982. |
